Cune Celebrates:Renaissance women and men--writers and booklovers who demonstrate skill in different realms of human activity. Writers with savvy and survival skills are a welcome contradiction to the stereotypical writer--utterly dependent upon others (agents, publishers) for his or her success. Note: Cune may be the world's only publishing company that is legally organized as a division of a construction company. W ho We AreCune was founded in May, 1994 by Scott C. Davis, Mamoun Sakkal, and Elsah "Midge" Bowman. Legally, Cune is a division of The Scott Davis Company, a sole proprietorship registered in the State of Washington. Manifesto,
1994 Our Evolution Still, we look forward to the day when writers and their grassroots presses can reach the reading public directly--without the need to do deals with conglomerate publishers or bookstores. From the beginning we have recognized that men and women who love literature are found in all kinds of presses, large and small, as are people who are out for a quick buck. Smallness and virtue are not always the same thing. Your Help Current Staff:
