secondcoming.jpg (19995 bytes) Jody Seay, whose work is featured in Cune's An Ear to the Ground, announces the publication of her first novel.  Described as The Liar's Club meets Fried Green Tomatoes, this book tells how seventy-year-old Texan Jimmy Heron takes to the road after his wife's death, trying to outrun his pain.  He is befriended by a lesbian couple living in Reliance and sees the couple become the target of vicious harassment.
The Second Coming of Curly Red is the story of what hate can destroy and love rebuild.

"Second Coming" is being published by Firebrand Books, a feminist and lesbian publishing company begun in 1985 that puts out approximately six books per year, mostly fiction.
