Why the Manuscript Boutique?
Remember the Golden Days when literary editors made book publishing decisions strictly on merit? Marketing people were not allowed in the room.  In recent years, the situation has been reversed. Marketing people at the major houses have had final say. And now, an even more pernicious development: publishers ask chain bookstores to evaluate unpublished manuscripts.

How are new  authors  going to beat  these odds? And what of the public need for ideas that stretch us? Such books do not yet have a constituency. They are new, yet necessary if we are to grow  and adapt.

Now Cune is giving booklovers a chance to vote. You make the publishing decision. Tell us which of the following manuscripts you feel should  be  put into print.
